Jasper Loco is performing tonight at the Westcoast We Active/746 In Da Streets “Hip Hop Toy Drive”. Its going down tonight from 8pm to 2am at THE GREEN TURTLE (11464 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, Ca 90601). To get in, bring a toy that is valued from $5 to $10. This event is hosted by Burst Rock from the Funny Bones Crew/Soul 2 Soul. And performing live is Jasper Loco from Charlie Row Campo, Mads Tha Hated, Oso Vicious, 2 Tone and MORE. The DJ spinning will be DJ Zion. With some dope artists performing, and giving back to those that are less fortunate this Christmas, there is NO REASON NOT TO GO.

A new HBO Original Series is “Luck”. Directed by Michael Mann (Transformers 1, 2 and 3) , Creator by David Milch (Deadwood), and Staring Academy Award Winner Dustin Hoffman and Academy Award Nominee Nick Nolte, this TV show looks like its gonna be a great series. I am a big fan of the 3 Stooges. When I catch some episodes at 3 am, I usually DVR it if im working or watch it until 5am. When I heard there was going to be a new 3 Stooges movie I thought it would be dope as long as they got some good actors to be the main characters (Larry, Moe and Curly). From the looks of the trailer, Moe and Larry sound just like the original actors and Curly’s character (Will Sasso from MAD TV) looks, sounds and acts just like the original Curly. I think this is gonna be a funny movie and will be watching it when it comes out next year. Here is the trailer for The 3 Stooges.

This whole week was crazy in the NBA. So many blocked trades, rumors, and conspiracy theories swirled around the NBA. First lets start with the beginning. The New Orleans Hornets currently DO NOT have an owner. So the NBA bought out the previous owner and is holding onto the team until a new owner buys the team. To be fair, the NBA hired staff for the Hornets, and the team was ran just like every other team. The General Manager (GM), decides who to trade, who to bring in by Free Agency, or to draft from college, basically run the teams front office. The Hornets currently have a situation where their best player (Chris Paul – who is a TOP 5 player in the league) asked to be traded and will not sign a contract extention. Instead of dragging out trade rumors effecting players emotions and play on the court (as it did with Carmelo Anthony’s trade rumors from last season), the Hornets decided within the team that it would be best to trade Chris Paul before the season starts. (Also they wanted to trade Paul because they would rather trade him and receive real good talent back, then him become a free agent and not receive anything in return, like the Cleveland Cavs did with Lebron James).

Last week, it was announced that 3 teams agreed in a trade to send Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers, Pau Gasol to the Houston Rockets, and Hornets would receive Lamar Odom, Kevin Martin, Luis Scola and draft picks. Once it was announced publicly that there was a trade, the NBA stepped in and blocked the trade – For Basketball Reasons. This is the first time ever in any USA Sport that a league has blocked a trade. And with a comment that does not make sense. No one knows what “For Basketball Reasons” meant, but critics, players and fans have voiced opinions through media outlets and social networks on how an agreement can be blocked from the league, citing conspiracy theories and unfair advantages due to the NBA knowing all executive trade talks and future decisions from all other teams. After the initial trade was agreed upon, then blocked, Lamar Odom from the Lakers told the front office executives that he would like to be traded. The Lakers then sent Odom to the Dallas Mavericks for a trade exception (the Lakers basically made cash available to sign a player or trade for a player for what Odoms salary was) and a draft pick, giving Laker fans hope they could trade for Dwight Howard.

A few days ago, it was announced that the Los Angeles Clippers have made a trade with an agreement with the Hornets, and for a day it was looking like the trade was going through.  But yet again, David Stern decided to block the deal, sending a frenzy that everyone in sports was talking about. With the Clippers and The Lakers both actively pursuing Chris Paul, the Hornets had to choose which option was best for the team. With the Lakers giving up a key piece in the trade scenario, they were rumored to trade Pau Gasol and mystery players. The Clippers have offered a package of Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al Farouq Aminu and Minnesota’s unprotected draft pick (which means the worse the Timberwolves are, the better the pick will be, and most are expecting the T-Wolves to have a horrible year. And unprotected means no matter what pick it will be, the Hornets will own it, even if its the #1 Pick). After 2 days of negotiating, the Clippers won with the best deal, and after 10 hours of the NBA approving the trade, it was finally official.

This trade means a whole new day and outlook for the Clippers, and now boasting a team with 2 ALL STARS (Blake Griffin and Chris Paul), and 3 Former ALL STARS (Chauncey Billups, Mo Williams and Caron Butler), and resigning De’Andre Jordan and keeping Eric Bledsoe, the Clippers now bring as much excitement if not more, for the Clippers than the Lakers. Word is, the Clippers sold out all season tickets, which, if true, its the first time in their history that has been done. We will now see how the teams from Los Angeles play this out. The Clippers still are under the cap, and they can still sign good talent, and they do have the momentum that other players are going to want to play for this team. And the Lakers, who has basically traded away Lamar Odom for nothing, and signed role players who are not expected to make a huge impact on the roster. With the Lakers, if they end up not trading for Dwight Howard with the trade exception from the Lamar Odom trade, they may be starting a downhill battle with players like Kobe and Pau already in their 30′s. Only time will tell, but I can tell you that Los Angeles is going to be buzzing around basketball and Staples Center is going to have new life with the Blue and Red (Clipper colors).

Living in LA, and going to all different types of areas, neighborhoods and events, you see alot of random things. Take this guy for example. I gotta give this guy props for being the Indian McGuyver. Look how he hits his sounds in the front and back. With the front speakers on the front bike pegs and mounted along the handle bars has me wondering if he can even make turns or is it a straight ride. The back is mounted with a bottom rack and has two small skateboard wheels that hold the support. Dude has a car battery giving life to this genious bike and pumping high volts of Urban Kings music through the system. He was posing for pictures when I had to stop and get one for my blog. And by the way, this dude even had a flip out TV/CD player in his “Dash”. I looked in his CD Organizer and he had all the Urban Kings CDS and dope Old School Classic Westcoast Hip Hop. Shout out to Adam From LA.

Chino Grande – The Story Of My Life

To me this has to be the best album put out this year by UKMG. Chino takes his fans on a journey through real life with alof of tracks featured on this cd. Chino touches on the worlds struggles with “I Had A Dream”,  which I have to say is my personal favorite. This album is in instant classic and must have to your collection. Especially if you are a Chino G fan.

With the motto Get Money, Blow Cash, Stay High and the dope design you can see why this shirt had to be my pick for the best shirt to get from O.E this year. One of my favorites from the O.E collection because the drawing has that classic look with the women, money, dice and cards, thats all a hustler needs.
